A Good Yarn Club

A Good Yarn Club welcomes all yarn crafters to come and join our group! Bring your own project or join us for this month's project(s).

For information on current project(s), please call Kathleen (208) 733-2964 ext. 601 or check the events on our Facebook page.

If you are a complete beginner, there are plenty of "helping hands" in our group and we have a knitting and crocheting class for beginners the hour before (5-6 pm).

Adult Gaming Night

Join us for a some fun and friendly competition one evening each month. We'll bring out the Wii and a bunch of great board and card games - and we'll play until the Library closes! See the calendar or ask at the Reference Desk for dates/times.

Basic Computer Class

This class will teach you the basics on how to use the computer. This class is open to all ages. Please contact Tatiana Del Val at (208) 733- 2964 ext. 703 to sign up!

Comics & Coffee

Comics & Coffee is a library program brought to you in partnership with our fellow nerds at Twin Beans Coffee Company. We meet on the last Wednesday of each month at Twin Beans Coffee Company to discuss the latest and greatest graphic novels on the market today.

Kids Club: Active Kids

Active Kids is a program for kids who want to learn different ways to get up and move! Each month, we'll have a special guest who will teach us different sports and exercises. Art kids is every 1st Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm, and all Kids Club programs are for kids in 1st through 5th grade. See the calendar for specific dates.

Kids Club: Art Kids

Art Kids is a program for kids who want to learn all about art! Each month, we'll talk about different art techniques, the artists who use those techniques, and make our own work of art! Art Kids is every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm, and all Kids Club programs are for kids in 1st through 5th grade. See the calendar for specific dates.

Kids Club: Kids Unplugged

Kids Unplugged is for kids who love making things with their hands. Join us for old-school, non-techie, hands-on fun. We'll do things like make a bee hotel, churn butter, or learn how to raise goats! Kids Unplugged is every 3rd Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm, and all Kids Club programs are for kids in 1st through 5th grade. See the calendar for specific dates.

Kids Club: STEM Kids

STEM Kids is for kids who love science, technology, engineering, and math. Each month, we'll do a big, fun, STEM-based project! STEM Kids is every 4th Wednesday of the month at 4:30pm, and all Kids Club programs are for kids in 1st through 5th grade.

Knit and Crochet Beginners Class

Want to learn how to knit or crochet? Or need a refresher course to get started again? Come and learn the basics.

Bring your own yarn and needles (sizes US 8-12) or hook (size H or 5.5 mm). Some yarn and knitting needles will be available to use.

Tip: Lighter colored yarn is easier to learn with.

After learning the basics feel free to stick around for A Good Yarn Club and meet other knitters and crocheters from the community!

Mr. Don

This fun sing-a- long will make everyone in the family happy! Mr. Don performs at the Twin Falls Public Library every Monday at 4:00pm.

Open Technology Lab

Do you have a question about technology or have a device you need help with? If so the Open Technology Lab can help! The session is open to all ages. Please contact the Reference Desk at (208) 733-2964 Option 2 find out when the next session will be!

Pajama-Rama

Littles and their parents can come to the library in their pajamas for a super fun dance party! We'll have songs, games, books, and of course lots of dancing! This program happens once a month, check the calendar for specific dates.

Preschool Storytime

Preschool Storytime is for children who are getting prepared to enter kindergarten and are ready to listen to longer, more complicated books. After storytime, we either hold an educational play time or do a fun craft! We get together on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30am. Check the calendar for specific dates.

Puppet Shows

Bring the whole family for a monthly puppet show! Check the calendar for specific dates.

Saturday Movie Matinee

Every Saturday at 3:00 PM we invite you to watch a family-friendly movie on our big screen! Call 733-2964 ext. 200 for titles.

Teen Craft

Teen activities are for anyone in 6th - 12th grade

At our Teen Crafts, teens can express their creativity as we make fun crafts. Each month we make a different craft, and it could be anything from a duct tape wallet, to a paracord bracelet, to a paper flower with a glowing light! Check our calendar for specific dates and projects.

Teen Game Day

Teen activities are for anyone in 6th - 12th grade

Teens, if you like games, then come to our Teen Game Day! Once a month we play board games or video games. When we do board games, the library will bring out our collection of games, and you are welcome to bring your favorite to share with the group. For video game days, we bring out the Wii and play awesome games like Just Dance, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Wipeout. Check our calendar for specific dates.

Teen Movie Party

Teen activities are for anyone in 6th - 12th grade

What better way to relax and wind down after school than a movie and snacks? Teens can join us once a month for our Teen Movie Party. We'll watch fun movies-- including popular new releases-- and have snacks. Check our calendar for specific dates and movies.

Teen Random Fandom

Teen activities are for anyone in 6th - 12th grade

We all have our favorite books, TV shows, and movies. Teens can join us once a month at Teen Random Fandom as we celebrate a different fandom, from Harry Potter, to Divergent, to Doctor Who, and more! Check our calendar for specific dates and themes.

Teen Super Smash Bros Tournament

Teen activities are for anyone in 6th - 12th grade

Once a month teens can show off your Super Smash Bros skills and compete against other teens in our tournament! You can sign up for the tournament ahead of time at the Youth Services Desk, or show up the day of! Check our calendar for specific dates.

Toddler Time

Toddler Time is the perfect place for little ones who are ready to listen to simple books and do songs and rhymes. After storytime, we hold an educational play time where children can meet new friends. We meet on Mondays and Thursdays at 10:30am. Check the calendar for specific dates.
