Join us on September 26th at 6:30 PM to share your short stories and poetry! Read original works, your favorite short by another author, or just come to listen! Sign-up to read at the event (first-come, first-served). Light refreshments will be served.  Readings will be limited to 5 minutes each. This program is geared towards adults.

The Twin Falls Public Library is seeking dedicated individuals to fill a seat on our Board of Trustees, which will be vacated by Susie Kapeleris when her term ends in December 2024. The City Council will appoint a new trustee to serve from January 2025 through December 31, 2029.

The five-member Board is responsible for establishing policies and rules for the governance of the Library. Board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. at the Library. Current Board Members include Susie Kapeleris, Jennifer Hall, Lindsay Earls, Shawnee Burt, and Dana DeHaan.

We invite interested applicants who reside within city limits to submit a letter expressing their interest in joining the Library Board. The letter should detail the reasons for their interest and outline their qualifications. Applications are due by September 30, 2024 and can be delivered or mailed to:

September is an exciting time at the Twin Falls Public Library as we celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month! Join us in celebrating with this year's theme "Libraries - More than meets the eye!"

In addition to our huge collection of books, you can discover all sorts of other items available for checkout with your library card! Dive into our fantastic array of board games, yard games, storytime kits, book club kits, graphic novels, and more. And don't forget—through the Lynx Consortium, you can access even more materials and items like video games, binge boxes, and a treasure trove of items from other libraries via the Lynx Courier Service.

We encourage you to visit us this month to renew your library card and update your information to ensure uninterrupted access to our services. This is especially important for those using the Libby app for digital materials—expired cards are a common reason for losing access to our digital collection. And don’t forget to invite your friends and family to get their own library cards so they can discover all the fantastic resources and programs we offer! Get a head-start by pre-registering online.
