Ready, Set Kindergarten! is a program for kids who are entering kindergarten in Fall 2023.  Each week, kids will earn a new letter, a kindergarten readiness concept, work on numbers, participate in hands-on activities, and parents will receive a worksheet to take home with suggestions of activities to do with their children.

Toddler Time is designed for children in the 18mo to 3yo age group. We know that this age group gets the wiggles, so there are lots of opportunities for movement and books that are appropriate for their attention span followed by playtime!

Teens in 6th – 12th grade can learn how to make duct tape roses. 

Preschool storytime is designed just for kids who are 4 – 5 years old! This storytime uses the five early literacy practices- sing, talk, read, write, and play. Each storytime features a letter, books that are a little longer and a little more complex to get us ready to sit in a classroom, and lots of fun rhymes and songs. After storytime, we play!

Families can have fun together while learning core STEM skills.  This month we are making paper plate icosahedrons, which is a 20-sided 3D shape!

Bring your elementary-aged child to the library on February 7 between 4-6 and we'll put out LEGO bricks so they can create to their heart's content!

Learn to build your own computer! In this class we'll cover the basics - the parts you need, the tools you need, and the skills you need to begin building your custom PC at home. 

Teens in 6th – 12th grade, join us to learn some important life skills! Teens and their parents can join us to learn more about the college admissions process.  High school counselors and representatives from CSI will be here for a question and answer session about all things higher education.

Calling all crafters! Join us every month for Saturday Crafter-Day. This month, we're making button flower bouquets on canvas. We supply everything you need for the craft & guide you through the project step-by-step, just make sure you arrive on time so you can complete the craft! This program is for patrons aged 16+. 

Kids can stop by anytime from 11-1 to make a Valentine’s Day Card with Mid Columbia Bus Company!  They will bring the supplies, you bring the creativity!

Each month, join us for Classic Movie Night at the Library! Every month, we screen a different classic film and give you some general history and trivia about the film before each screening. We can't but the title here due to licensing restrictions, but this month, we're showing a romantic musical comedy starring Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, and Frank Sinatra!

On Tuesday February 14 between 4-6, your elementary-aged child can come to the library and create whatever they'd like with lots of different art supplies!

Tuesday February 21 from 4-6, we'll put out extra laptops so that elementary kids can all play together on the library's very own private Minecraft server!

Join our three-month book discussion series! We'll read and discuss how food and eating affects our personal and cultural lives. This month, we'll discuss Mary Roach's "Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal" on February 22nd at 6:30 PM in the program room.

Come by the Library to learn Knitting & Crochet Basics! We'll have patterns for you to use. Bring your own yarn to keep your project, or you can borrow some of ours to practice! Stick around after class for A Good Yarn Club to keep working on your project & meet fellow yarn crafters.

On February 27th, from 6-8 pm, the Twin Falls Public Library and the Magic Valley Writers Group are hosting a night of short story readings. Everyone is invited to come and listen to the readings and share their own stories! Readings will be limited to 3 minutes to ensure all readers have an opportunity to share. Should time allow, attendees may give multiple readings. Light refreshments will be provided.

Elementary kids can come to the library on February 28 from 4-6 and build with a different material; Kiva Planks, cardboard, Straws & Connectors, and more.

Teens in 6^th – 12^th grade, join us to learn some important life skills! This week, Siew Guan Lee from the University of Idaho Extension office will teach us how to make some simple but tasty dinners and desserts.
