Join our Genealogy Workshop! Each month, we explore a different resource, tool, or skill you can use to research your ancestry. Whether you're just starting out, or an experienced researcher, this workshop is for you! This month's topic: "Cemetery Research."

Ready, Set Kindergarten! is a program for kids who are entering kindergarten in Fall 2023.  Each week, kids will earn a new letter, a kindergarten readiness concept, work on numbers, participate in hands-on activities, and parents will receive a worksheet to take home with suggestions of activities to do with their children.

On April 7th, join us and the bartenders from Red Hawk to learn about zero-proof cocktails! The bartenders will show you how to make delicious alcohol-free drinks with easy-to-find ingredients that won't break the bank. Then, sample the mocktails, vote for your favorite, and chat! You could even win a zero-proof cocktail recipe book! No alcohol will be served at this event. Ages 18+.

Families can have fun together while learning core STEM skills.  This month we are talking about chemistry and learning about acids and bases.

Celebrate National Poetry Month at our Poetry Night! On April 11 at 7 PM, come share your original poetry or your favorite piece. Slots to read are first come-first to read. Readers are asked to adhere to a 5 minute time limit.

Teens in 6th – 12th grade, join us to learn some important life skills! This week, staff from the Idaho Department of Labor will teach us what kinds of jobs are out there for teens, and give tips on interviewing and applying for jobs.

Whether you're working with a new device want to shift from Overdrive to Libby, we can help! Drop in between 10 am and 6 pm on April 14 to sit down with a librarian to help you with your device. Plus, learn what other TFPL apps and mobile features are available for free!

Kids, drop off your favorite stuffed animal at the library anytime on April 14, and they will spend the night at the library!  Then, pick them up by 4pm on April 15.  You’ll get pictures of their sleepover adventure and make a fun frame to display your picture! (Grown-ups, we’ll also be posting the pictures on social media!)

Tuesday April 18 from 4-6, we'll put out extra laptops so that elementary kids can all play together on the library's very own private Minecraft server!

Join special guest Gary Eller to learn about badasses & disasters of early Idaho! Gary will highlight historically-based Idaho Songs written before 1924, or that should have been written, about notorious figures and events in Idaho history.

We'll have special guests from the Master Gardeners, Idaho Power, the reptiles from the Herrett Center, and more! 

Celebrate Earth Day and learn the various ways to press flowers at Saturday Crafter-day! Take home your floral creation mounted on a rock. This program starts at 10:30 am, be there on time so you have time to complete your craft. This program is for patrons 16+.
