The Safe at Home Program is a class designed for students in 4th – 6th grade to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone.  The class is free but class size is limited, so please contact the Youth Services Department at 208-733-2964 ext. 301 to register.

Join us at the Twin Falls Public Library every month for Classic Movie Night! This month, we're watching a 1944 release directed by Clarence Brown and based on a 1935 novel by Enid Bagnold. Catch this early sports film starring Mickey Rooney, Donald Crisp, Angela Lansbury, Anne Revere, Reginald Owen, and a young Elizabeth Taylor.

Tween STEM is a science program for tweens (ages 8 – 12) on Tuesdays from 11am-12pm beginning June 13th.  The tweens will learn about different science, technology, engineering, and math concepts through fun projects and experiments.

Naturebrary is a caregiver-and-me program for babies, toddlers, and pre-k kids on Wednesdays from 10am-12pm beginning June 8th. We'll have storywalks, make mud pies, learn about plant life, and much more! Naturebrary is a messy outdoors program so dress accordingly. See you there!

***For 6th - 12th graders*** Teens, come to the library at 2pm on June 16 for a cooking class.  Siew Guan Lee from the University of Idaho Extension office will teach us how to use herbs and spices to flavor foods. You’ll also get to plant some of your own herbs.

We'll provide everything you need, including an empty wine bottle, but if you have your own large bottle you'd like to use, feel free to bring it (just make sure you take off the label beforehand). Estate Planning is critical for EVERYONE, regardless of your wealth! Join a local estate planning attorney to learn/avoid the Top 10 Mistakes people make regarding estate planning and what is included in a “complete” estate plan. The class covers Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Probate, as well as how to keep the chaos and uncertainty of death at bay. You’ll learn a lot and might even laugh a little!

Play any game from our collection, games from Black Dragon's collection, or BYOG to share.  Plus every month we feature a different game - we'll teach you to play and have multiple tables set up. On June 2nd, from 6-8 pm, the Twin Falls Public Library and the Magic Valley Writers Group are hosting a night of short story readings. Come and share your stories, listen to others, and connect with fellow writers! Readings will be limited to 5 minutes to ensure all readers have an opportunity to share. Should time allow, attendees may give multiple readings. Light refreshments will be provided.
