Elementary-age kids, join us Tuesday afternoons at 4:00 for hands-on activities designed to get kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Children under 8 will need help from a grown-up. 

Come by the Library to learn Knitting & Crochet Basics! We'll have patterns for you to use, or bring your own yarn to keep your project, or you can borrow some of ours to practice! We'll teach you how to get started and some basic stitches. Stick around after class for A Good Yarn Club to keep working on your project & meet fellow yarn crafters for more tips & tricks.

Baby Lapsit is designed for babies from birth through 18 months. This short storytime lasts 15 minutes. Your baby will be on your lap throughout, and you will sing, move, and read with your baby!

For this session of Tween STEM Club, we are going to be building and decorating "gingerbread" houses! (actually cardboard) Participants will design, prototype, build, and decorate their holiday dream house. The caveat? They have to stay within budget! This program is for kids in 4th-6th grade.  Registration is required and space is limited.  Registration for this session opens on Tuesday 10/29.  Call (208) 733-2964 ext. 301 to sign up.

Join us the first Tuesday of every month for Genealogy Workshop and we'll teach you a new skill or tool you can use to research your family's genealogy. Experienced researches and beginners are welcome. This month join us to learn advanced tips & tricks when using FamilySearch!

Teens in 6th – 12th grade, join us for a fun craft!  This month we are making raised metallic relief pictures that look just like stained glass!

Preschool storytime is designed for kids who are 4 – 5 years old! This storytime uses the five early literacy practices- sing, talk, read, write, and play. Each storytime features a letter, books that are a little longer and a little more complex to get us ready to sit in a classroom, and lots of fun rhymes and songs. After storytime, we play!

Kids, come read to a therapy dog from the Pets Helping People Therapy Team!  Sign up for a 10-minute slot when you arrive, and spots are first come, first served.

Usher in the spirit of the season by participating in the Twin Falls Public Library's first-ever public community reading of Charles Dickens’ beloved novella, A Christmas Carol, in partnership with the Twin Falls Theatre Collective! Join Saturday, Dec. 7th starting at 2 PM as we read the entire story from start to finish! We'll have hot cocoa, cider, and snacks - as well as a quiet craft you can work on while you listen. This special event is open to everyone—individuals, families, book clubs, and groups are all encouraged to attend and participate. The monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees is the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Library Board Room.

Join us for our annual celebration of early literacy! We'll have a storytime, lots of fun literacy games and activities, and we'll be giving out great books and other materials. We even have special guests coming- members of our city council and our local state legislators! All pre-elementary kids are invited to this special celebration.

Teens in 6th – 12th grade, join us for a cooking class!  This month Siew Guan Lee from the University of Idaho Extension office will be teaching us how to make reindeer brownies. 

Visit us on Dec. 19th at 6:30 PM for a night of short stories & poetry. Come and share your own writings or your favorite pieces by other authors, or just come to listen! Sign-up is first come, first to read. 5 minute time limit per reading (multiple readings are allowed, depending on time). This program is geared towards adults.  Check with a librarian for more information.

Join us on December 20 at 4:00pm for Elementary Book Club! This month we are reading Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo.  We'll eat snacks, do some activities, and have so much fun!

Bring the whole family anytime from 10 AM - 2 PM on Dec. 21st for Open Craft Day! We’ll have all sorts of craft supplies out for you to make anything you’d like! Need some direction? We’ll also have a few examples with directions for you to a make a craft - great for a last-minute gift.
